I mean when you're trying to beat "revelation" the answer is indeed "don't get hit, git gud and pray for not getting a triple baby", but if you're not at hard mode the answer is just. In fact people complain that normal mode is too easy. the game isn't even close to that punishing until you get to hard mode, and even then, it's only that punishing when you play "Ordeal" and "Revelation". That pretty much spells doom for the run. But then what if I get walloped in a room or 2. Sure I can ace maybe the first 8 rooms like a god and not get hit (thats pretty much 18 minutes of gameplay and 50 kills of PERFECTION). Tamok's breath works great with the relic which heals you when you kill burning enemies, and Reptilian Hunger is great overall.Īnd still cant get close. And about blessings: Tamok's breath, Reptilian Hunger, and Indomitable may be useful (Maybe you'll eventually discard indomitable but for now it's great). Don't worry about getting corruption for useful items, too. Start playing more carefully, dodge better, don't get hit that much, and look for things that grant you healing effects. For example, 5 constitution is 250 max health which, if you´re at half health increases your current health by 125. So by going into a healing room you are missing on something else which may actually be more useful. Or (in pantheon) a subboss to remove curses. Yes, they heal you, but they give you corruption and you might instead be getting a good relic. In fact, when you start getting used to the game, healing rooms become something like a last resort.
